Matei has been advising clients as an investment banker and consultant for 25 years. He founded Sandfox in 2019 after a decade of rising through the ranks at elite investment banks, including at Petsky Prunier (acquired by Canaccord Genuity), Jefferies, and J.P. Morgan. Earlier in his career, he was a fintech consultant at Deloitte and Provenir, guiding clients through digital transformation initiatives in both the U.S. and Europe.
Matei has a bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology with concentration in Computer Science from Cornell University, as well as a master’s degree from NYU’s Stern School of Business.
